Sweet Action: NFL Week 6

Kevin, the host of the D.C. Sports Guys, will start the NFL season with $100 of his own money. The objective is simple: make as much as possible betting on NFL games. No funds can be added during the season. He will either lose it all or be smoking a victory cigar on February 7, 2010. 


In week 5, the Texans, the 49ers and the Jets failed to deliver, preventing any big winnings.  The rest of the wagers however still produced an overall 31% increase over week 4 and the account is now up to $160.20.

This week I'll be risking $105 to win $1,254.87.

Team	Reason and Action
Minnesota Vikings	The Ravens have played well but they are up against a better offense and defense when they travel to Minnesota.  Minnesota defensive line will be able to stop Rice and put pressure on Flacco.  Action: Vikings -3
Cincinnati Bengals	Houston has shown they are a inconsistent team.  Arizona's questionable defense gave them problems last week shutting them down in the first half and returning a pick for a touchdown late in the game. The Bengals defense will be able to shut down Houston's offense.   Action: -4 (buy .5 point) / Money Line (-230)
New Orleans Saints	Two of the best teams in the NFL will meet when the Saints take on the Giants.  In what should be a great game, give the edge to Saints who will be the first team to take advantage of the injuries that have hit the Giants this season. Action: Money Line (-175)
Seattle Seahawks	Is Matt Hasselbeck starting? Yes. Action: -3
New York Jets	The Bills are terrible.  The Jets defense won't have problems picking up the wildcat this week and will keep TO and the rest of Buffalo's offense in check. Action: Money Line (-550)
New England Patriots	The Titans are a shell of their former selves.  Their only chance to win is to schedule a game against the Redskins. Action: Money Line (-500)
Atlanta Falcons	The Falcons looked great coming out of the bye week against the 49ers.  Chicago's defense is not what it has been in years past and won't be able to stop Ryan throwing it deep. Action: Money Line (-190)
Denver Broncos	Denver proved they belong by beating the Patriots in OT last week.  San Diego has stumbled to a 2-2 start and has problems in the Red Zone.  Take the team that has proved they know how to win a game. Action: Money Line (+160)
Philadelphia Eagles Green Bay Packers Pittsburgh Steelers	The Eagles, Packers, and Steelers all play terrible football teams this week.  That means the lines are all 10 points or higher.  Upsets are unlikely here so use a teaser to your advantage. Action: Teased
