Mr.Tony

For those of you that don't know Mr. Tony Kornheiser has been suspended by the ESPN brass for comments he made on his radio show about Hannah Storm's wardrobe. Now am I the only one that finds this completely absurd? Not only has he been suspended but its for two weeks. I really have a hard time understanding this decision by ESPN. Was what he said all that offensive? He just complained about the clothes she had been wearing. Who cares? Just another reason for me to not watch ESPN. I already can't stand Sports Center or any of their E60 segments. The only show I watch on ESPN with any regularity is PTI and that is because of Mr. Tony!

Who was complaining about what he said? Middleaged women from across America that don't listen to his show in the first place? I simply don't understand the rationale behind the majority of what ESPN does.

So I will still listen to what Mr.Tony has to say everyday on the radio (thanks to Dan Synder owning the radio station) and I won't be watching PTI until he is back on.

The DC Sports Guys 2-03-2009

This edition of the DC Sports Guys is the longest yet. Because we seem to be yaking longer and longer, we will start listing the times of each segment below the flash player. We'd like you to listen to the whole show, but we realize you may not have a full hour and twenty minutes to loyally devote yourself to your favorite amateur sports show. This however, will give you, our beloved listeners, nearly instant access to the segments you care most about.

As always, leave comments and send an email to mailbag@dcsportsguys.com.

Also... I apologize to all listeners. I appear to develop the most annoying laugh ever as the show progresses. I will be addressing this with myself before the next show.

A whole lot to talk about.

TJ, Jeremy, Jeff, and I sit down to reflect on a full weekend of events, including Afflictions' Day of Reckoning, WEC 38, the Royal Rumble and the NHL All-Star game. When we finish wishing that we were all Alexander Ovechkin, we discuss how we all hate the direction ESPN has taken over the last few years and then look forward to a very anticipated UFC 94. Superbowl predictions close the show as we all get ready for what will be another great weekend of sports.
